The day in the life of a WAHM

Why work at home? As a mom of two I often struggled with balancing my work and my home life. After my youngest son ended up in the hospital and my older son being diagnosed with Autism I came to the end of my rope. I knew I had to make some big changes. I knew how to make money online, I had always done it in the past, so I knew it was possible, I just had to step things up in a big way, I knew it was possible. I just knew it wasn't going to be easy. Now almost 6 months later and working more than I have ever worked in a "real" job. I have never been happier and more fulfilled. I think I have been so fortunate to have found the one thing as moms we all pray for, search for, and long for....balance. Here is now what my daily life looks like. I wake up around 8am...yes I wake up when I want, no alarm. My sons and I usually wake up at the same time so we wake up I make breakfast, we eat and then I get the boys in the bath tub. I get them dressed. Then I shower and get dressed. Then I head downstairs clean up the kitchen and straighten up the living room. I then start a movie for the boys or they watch cartoons and I can get some work done, usually an hour or two of work before I take my oldest to preschool. I drop him off and my younger son and I head back home and eat lunch. Then I run errands like post office and grocery store or anything else I have planned for the day or appointments. I lay him down for a nap and then it's back to work for a couple more hours. When 4 O'clock rolls around I have to pick up my son and start dinner. We eat, spend some family time together then it's story time and bedtime. I usually try to get them down by 9 then I am able to finish up what I didn't get done during the day. I also have online classes I take that I have to work on two or three nights a week. Finishing up my B.A. In Business/Finance. So that's my typical week day routine. See how flexible it can be working at home? I work around my family schedule. I am still able to work about 8 hours a day and get everything done I need to do. I will do another post about the specifics of what I work on during the day. Thanks for stopping by!
